The Richmond Games provided an exciting close to Clan Maxwell Society’s 2003 season in the Chesapeake Region, with an unusually large and active crowd on hand. Our tent was a joint effort of Clan Maxwell and Clan Pollock, and it attracted quite a few visitors. More than ten new Clan Maxwell Society member packets were handed out at the tent!
In addition to great food, a full slate of games and loads of entertainment, the Maxwells had a special treat on Sunday when a pair of minstrels strolled in to serenade. They were exceptionally entertaining, even when some of our Clan insisted on joining them in numerous choruses of the “Maid of Amsterdam,” and put the crowning touch on a very successful Maxwell gathering.
