Weather was warm again this year for the San Francisco Scottish Festival, held at Pleasanton during the Labor Day Weekend. The heat kept the crowd down on Saturday afternoon, but traffic at the Maxwell tent was steady remainder of the weekend. The tent was well stocked with water, so the fun continued despite the heat.
There was good representation this year from the Wardlaw family, with at least one Wardlaw at the tent for most of the weekend. Representatives from several Wardlaw families were able to meet each other for the first time, an especially significant point since all American Wardlaws are thought to have descended from the same ancestor who came to the U.S.
The games at Pleasantan always bring good crowds and good fun, and this year was no exception.
