Jane Lewis Maxwell and her father Alexander Lewis came into Western Virginia and settled in now Harrison County. She had four sons and two daughters. Sons were Abner, Levi. Lewis and Robert. I have extensive information on the Abner line. They are many and scattered all over the USA.
The community of “Jane Lew” in Lewis County, WV was developed by her son Lewis and named after her. Lewis was a member of the US House of Representatives but had no children.
Lots more where that came from. Send me an email if you wish.
