My gggrandparents, William Maxwell and Elizabeth Toner, came to Quebec, Canada c. 1837 and later to Tyendinaga Twp, Hastings Co. Ontario c. 1842. It has been speculated they came from Keady, Co. Aramagh, NIR. They had several children; the eldest being Dr. John Maxwell who married a Gray, and the youngest son being my ggrandfather, James Maxwell who married Jane Parks. Could there be a connection somewhere?
