What I’m especially interested in is the source for the information that Bedwell Maxwell’s name came from his mother, Millicent Bedwell. I’d always figured it must come from a Bedwell mother, but I didn’t know which Bedwell it might be. The only sticking point is that I have a record of Millicent Bedwell, daughter of Thomas Bedwell, marrying a man named Hill and having a son. So, did Mr. Hill die and Millicent remarry, or was it a different Millicent Bedwell?
