John Maxwell born Kent Co, MD 1765-1857 died McLean Co, IL had a son named Larkin and they lived in Ashe Co, NC at the same time as Sydney. John’s father was named John and I think you can safely assume that Sydney’s father is the same. I believe that my ancestor Elisha Maxwell was related to them. My Elisha seems to be the same as on the 1800 Greenville Co, SC. Elisha was in Montgomery Co, VA for a short time during the revolution and so was Bezaleel Maxwell. Elisha’s son was listed as Jonathan Maxfield in 1840 census Champaign Co,IL. [email protected]
